Lynnette Gould is a professional artist practicing in a myriad of mediums. Her inspiration is usually driven by nature and the play of light.
Lynnette Gould is an Australian painter/printmaker & photographer.
She was born in (and is inspired by) the ruggedly beautiful New England Region of NSW.
Lynnette is highly qualified; a Master of Art in Printmaking from the University NSW, College of Fine Arts (C.O.F.A.) and a Master of Art in Drawing/Painting from the University NSW, Art & Design. She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the prestigious National Art School, Sydney.
Lynnette has studied drawing and painting with some of Australia’s great contemporary artists including Art Gallery of NSW Archibald and Dobell Prize winner David Fairbairn and Wynne Prize winner Ian Grant; and NSW Travelling Art Scholarship winner Denis Clarke.
She studied printmaking (etching) in Australia with master printmaker Michael Kempson and Japanese Mokuhanga (woodblock printing) in Japan with Mokuhanga Masters Shoji Kitamura in Kyoto and Tetsuo Soyama in Kawaguchi-Ko, Japan.
In Autumn 2018, Lynnette expanded her printmaking knowledge and skills as an artist-in-residence at the Mokuhanga Innovation Laboratory (Mi-Lab) in the foothills of Mt Fuji, Kawaguchi-Ko, Japan.
Lynnette has exhibited as a painter and printmaker in solo and group exhibitions in local, national and international galleries. Her work was last exhibited in 2019 at the CfSHE Gallery, Arts Chiyoda, Tokyo.
Lynnette has won awards for her art, her writing and her ‘creative leadership’. Her work is featured in private collections in Australia, Austria, England, Italy and Japan.
